#FansUnited Day

17 December 2016

Supporters from both sides involved in matchday activities on Saturday

Doncaster Rovers’ Sky Bet League Two  fixture with Grimsby Town will see a range of family-friendly events.

The day will start with a match between Rovers and Mariners fans taking place on one of the adjoining pitches – Donny R'Sonists take on Internet Mariners at 9.30am,

As part of the pre-match build-up we will have two Moments of Magic, inviting young fans of each side to watch the players warming-up.

Fans are also invited to bring toys to donate to Trax FM’s toy appeal – all items donated to our collection in the South Stand reception will be distributed to in-need families by the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust

There will be two presentations before the match, with former Rovers goalkeeper Andy Warrington – now a coach at the Mariners – inducted into Rovers’ Hall of Fame.

Liam Mandeville will also be presented with the EFL Young Player of the Month trophy after being recognised for his phenomenal month.

Throughout the home concourses you will be able to find copies of the In Rovers We Trust survey, where we ask fans for feedback on how the club works on matchdays – feel free to return in the boxes provided, or hold on to them and return to the club’s South Stand reception during the week (you can also fill in the survey online here).

Half-time will see one season ticket holder win a unique piece of Rovers memorabilia, with the draw made to win the shirt won by Alfie Beestin in the 5-1 win over Morecambe.

The special British Heart Foundation kit was produced to raise awareness and raise funds for the club’s official charity partners – who will be collecting before Saturday’s match.

After the match young supporters of both teams will join us in the Alick’s Bar for our Junior Rovers party, where Donny Dog and the Rovers first-team will make an appearance.

And supporters of both sides are in for a treat afterwards – with free donuts on offer as part of a BBC documentary on stress. These are available to away supporters outside the away end and both sets of fans inside the Belle Vue bar.

If you have not bought your tickets for Saturday’s ‘can’t miss’ local derby against Grimsby yet, you can do by calling 01302 762576 or by clicking here. The Box Office will be open from 9am on Saturday – with tickets for the home stands only available to fans already on Rovers’ ticketing database.
