Club Set For Academy Day

23 February 2016

Rovers to showcase up and coming players before Lions game.

Doncaster Rovers are delighted to announce it’s inaugural ‘Academy Day’ on Saturday when the first team host Millwall at Keepmoat Stadium.

Over 400 players are currently in the Doncaster Rovers Academy and Doncaster Rovers Development Academy with ages ranging from Under 7’s to Under 18’s.

To celebrate the progression of the youth development at the club, juniors will be taking in a variety of activities including practicing skills in the stadium concourses, acting as flag bearers, shirt shaking, player escorts and ball boys.

Some of the Rovers youngsters will also test their mettle against the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Chesterfield, Sheffield United and Rotherham United who will be participating in a tournament earlier in the day.

Currently Rovers boast five academy graduates in their first team squad with Mitchell Lund, Harry Middleton and Liam Mandeville likely to feature against the Lions on Saturday.

Our young stars of the future will be paraded around the pitch at half time so please show them your support.
