WINNER! The design of 2016/17 away shirt revealed.
Doncaster Rovers are delighted to announce the winner of our 2016 “Design-a Kit” competition – as chosen by you, the supporters – can be seen below.After receiving 33.7% of the votes that were collected via our Facebook poll and paper ballots, we can confirm that Rovers will stride out in the new away shirt for the forthcoming 2016/17 season.
The Club would like to congratulate the winning effort – with the winner now bound for Thailand in conjunction with new technical partners FBT at the first stage of manufacturing – and want to thank everyone for their respective entries in to the competition which proved immensely popular with all our fans.
Marketing and Communications Manager Ryan Murrant said: “Away shirts are typically a blank canvas for fans to get creative and we’ve had so many striking designs. Even when we got to the last five we had purple, green, blue and black all vying for a place in the stands at away grounds up and down the country next season. We haven’t worn a black away strip since the 2008/09 season so it’s a welcome change. After the success of the home shirt, we think that fans will be as pleased with the winner and we must again thank everyone who has contributed!”
