A look at how our on loan players fared at the weekend.
Curtis Main – Main made his home debut for Oldham in just their second win at Boundary Park this season as the Latics came from behind to overcome a highly fancied Gillingham side. Though Main did not score for John Sheridan’s men, he partnered former Rovers front man and match-winner Jonathon Forte in attack. Oldham travel to Peterborough tonight.Gary MacKenzie (above) – The Scottish centre back did not feature in Notts County’s 1-0 home loss to League 2 play-off chasers Leyton Orient. MacKenzie has made two appearances for the struggling Meadow Lane club; a defeat against York City and a win at Hartlepool United.
Billy Whitehouse – Whitehouse scored on his FC Halifax Town debut in a resounding win over Conference National high flyers Grimsby Town. In arguably the biggest result of the Shaymen’s season, the 19 year old midfielder got the ball rolling on a 4-2 victory with a first half opener. Halifax travel to Braintree tonight.
Rovers can confirm that goalkeeper Chris Neal and midfielder Eddy Lecygne have returned to their parent clubs Port Vale and Stoke City respectively – we want to thank the pair for their efforts.
