Foundation Friday: Participants for Spring programme get to know each other.
The National Citizens Service (NCS) team got the ball rolling for this year’s NCS programme recently as all of the Spring sign ups were taken Ten Pin bowling in Doncaster where they met each other for the first time!Around 30 participants representing various schools across Doncaster were present for the eagerly anticipated first keep warm event of the 2016 programme ahead of their NCS programme in the Spring half term. Prizes were offered for the bowler with the highest score and best team ‘selfie’ amongst others.
NCS Coordinator Matt Umney said: “These events are great for breaking down that initial barrier where the participants don’t know each other. Right from the start we had them mixing with their new friends as they had to pick at random which bowling lane they were on from a hat!”
