Rovers to team up with local county FA at Saturday's game against Gillingham.
Doncaster Rovers is delighted to be joining forces with Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA in promoting the Football Association’s RESPECT Campaign at our game with Gillingham on Saturday 16th January 2016 and in highlighting some of the excellent work going on around the County FA region.Saturday’s game will see the visit of U9 teams of BSA Trappers, Fishlake Falcons, Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Tickhill Red, New Bohemians, Sprotbrough & Cusworth Green, Castle Grove and Brampton Rovers from the Doncaster & District, Sheffield & District and Barnsley & District Junior Leagues.
Each of the teams has been selected from the leagues they represent as a reward for attaining the highest RESPECT scores from all their opponents. They will all participate in a RESPECT activity and tournament outside the stadium prior to the game against the high flying Gills and will be parading around the field at half time so please show them your full support!
As a County Football Association, Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA take their responsibility seriously in leading from the front and in looking to ensure all games are played in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.
The event taking place alongside the League One clash has arisen out of the hard work of the recently formed RESPECT Working Group at the County FA – and on the back of their close partnership working with ourselves as one of the County FA’s top senior professional clubs.
