5 January 2016

Having taken over with with the club in the League One drop zone Ferguson, who twice led Peterborough to the Championship, has his side just six points off the play-off places in 11th after Saturday's 3-0 win at Southend.”

Yorkshire Post – “Recalled Nathan Tyson went on a surging run before crossing low for Andy Williams, who rifled in an effort from the tightest of angles. It was in-form Williams’s 13th goal of the season, and his 10th in 12 matches.”

Popular Stand – “With the game won Rovers sat back and allowed Southend to flounder about on the edge of the area taking turns to whack shots straight at Stuckmann until time ran out.”

How we reported it – “The away side were rewarded for their positive approach just before half time, when Tyson flashed a ball across the face of the goal and in form Williams was there to net his 13th goal of the season.”
