Takings Benefit Foundation

28 January 2016

Fans help contribute to improving health and wellbeing of local people.

Doncaster Rovers supporters helped contribute £113.50 to the Club Doncaster Foundation from car parking takings at the Scunthorpe United home game on Boxing Day.

Funds have subsequently gone towards trying to improve the health of people in the local community and encourage participants to think about diet and exercise.

The Club had promised to donate a portion of the takings to charities – which included the Foundation – and the monies raised have gone towards:

-    Club Doncaster’s Health & Wellbeing Dry January campaign which many of the staff have taken part in
-    Purchasing ingredients to make healthy smoothies that energised the 100+ participants in the Ben Parkinson Lakeside walk on 16 January at the Keepmoat Stadium.
-    Producing healthy recipe ideas that will form part of their Look Good Feel Good initiative – for more information contact Nick Gillott, Community Officer (Health & Wellbeing) nick.gillott@clubdoncasterfoundation.co.uk

Doncaster Rovers and Club Doncaster Foundation would like to thank supporters for taking advantage of the discounted car parking on offer and therefore contributing to funding for the Foundation.
