Walking Football Success

Get back active and help Doncaster to grow the game of Walking Football!

Club Doncaster Foundation are calling on those who can no longer take part in mainstream football to dust off their football boots and rediscover their love for the beautiful game with Walking Football.

The Foundation’s sessions are inclusive and age is no barrier with players ranging from 50 years of age and we’re proud to say our oldest player is 82.

Ball control and accurate passing is encouraged by the use of a Futsal ball and 5-a-side rules.

Now, Club Doncaster Foundation want you to be involved and help grow the game in the local region. The Foundation has been awarded funding by the Football Association to purchase new kit and equipment and ensure that everything is in place for participants to fully enjoy the Walking Football Experience.

Sessions take place on Monday’s between 11:30am – 12:30pm at Doncaster Dome and Wednesday’s between 6pm – 7pm at Club Doncaster Academy.

Every player that attends 5 Wednesday sessions will receive a free ‘Retro Rovers’ training t-shirt, featuring our new professionally designed badge with the aim of taking part in a national tournament later this month!

The FA People’s Cup is coming to Yorkshire on Sunday 24th January (2pm) when teams from across the country will compete in Hull.

To get involved, or if you require any further information, contact Andrew Sheldrake on 01302 764663 or email Andrew.sheldrake@clubdoncasterfoundation.co.uk
