Annual Open Day Takes Place

25 July 2016

Supporters meet their stars.

The Doncaster Rovers annual open day took place at the Keepmoat Stadium ON Friday as dreams came true for a number of our young supporters.

Darren Ferguson’s men were put through their paces on the first team pitch, taking part in a two hour training session, preparing for Tuesday’s pre-season visit to York City.

Along with first team training there were a variety of other activities taking place for our younger supporters to enjoy, with coaching sessions run by the Club Doncaster Foundation, five-a-side matches and face painting, along with a bucking bronco and bungee challenge.

Following the training session, our Junior Members who came to the open day were  given the opportunity to step on to the hallowed turf take on the Doncaster Rovers first team in a match, with a number of the youngsters impressing under the eye of manager Ferguson.

Each Junior Member also received a free t-shirt to commemorate the day!  For more information on how you can join our membership scheme absolutely free, CLICK HERE.

After the match, all supporters attending the day were given the opportunity to meet the entire first team, who signed memorabilia and posed for pictures and selfies with supporters!
