Keepmoat to host Challenge Cup match

We are proud to announce that the Keepmoat Stadium has been chosen as the Challenge Cup semi-final venue between Wigan Warriors and Hull FC.

The venues for this year’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals have now been confirmed and both games will be broadcast live on the BBC.

Wigan Warriors, 19-time Challenge Cup winners, will play against league leaders Hull FC in the first semi-final which will take place the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster.

The match will be played on Friday July 29 (BBC Two, 8.00pm). This highly-anticipated clash between two of First Utility Super League’s in-form teams is sure to be one of the must-see games of the year.

Chief Executive of Doncaster Rugby League Club Carl Hall said: “I’m over the moon and we’re all very proud. It’s fantastic that we can bring such a prestigious event to the Keepmoat Stadium and we hope to get a good crowd here on the Friday night.

“I’d like to thank everyone at Club Doncaster who has helped us secure the game."

Ticket details for the fixture will be announced in due course.

The schedule for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals is as follows:

Friday July 29 – Wigan Warriors v Hull FC, Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster (BBC Two, 8.00pm kick-off)

Saturday July 30 – Warrington Wolves v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Leigh Sports Village (BBC One, 2.30pm kick-off)
