Darren Ferguson has added another popular face to his squad for the 2016/17 season by signing Gary McSheffrey on a one year contract.
McSheffrey follows last season's loanee Tommy Rowe and has signed on a permanent basis, becoming Ferguson's 6th signing of the summer for Doncaster Rovers.Rovers fans know exactly what Gary McSheffrey is capable of and will be pleased to see him returning to the Keepmoat Stadium after a successful loan spell last season.
The striker scored on his debut for Rovers away at Colchester and followed that performance up with an impressive 6 assists in 7 games.
"The board have been fantastic again,” said Darren Ferguson when talking about the signing.
"We want to recruit quickly, we want to be aggressive in the market and the club have given me the chance to go and get the players I want before someone else does which is fantastic.
“They take a lot of credit for pushing the signings through so far."
