Doncaster Rovers have organised their fourth pre-season friendly and are delighted to announce that we will take on Newcastle United at the Keepmoat Stadium.
To add to Rossington Main, York City and Middlesbrough, former Premier League and Champions League side Newcastle United and Rafa Benitez will come to the Keepmoat ahead of the 2016/17 campaign on Wednesday 20th July with a 7.45pm kick off.Rafa Benitez’ side couldn’t avoid relegation from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season, however in the early 2000’s Newcastle challenged for the Premier League title a number of times under the management of Sir Bobby Robson as well as qualifying for the Champions League.
With six new faces already signed up for Darren Ferguson and Rovers next season, this is a fantastic opportunity to see our new boys in action against top opposition ahead of the new season, as well as see Rovers showcasing our new 2016/17 kit which is available for pre-order here.
