Tyson Leaves Rovers

1 June 2016

Doncaster Rovers can announce that DRFC and striker Nathan Tyson have exercised a clause in Nathan’s contract that will see him depart the Keepmoat Stadium with immediate effect.

The 34 year old spent two seasons in South Yorkshire having signed on a free transfer from Blackpool in the summer of 2014.

His tally of 14 goals was enough to take the Golden Boot award in his debut season and he duly scooped the Player of the Season award.

More recently, Tyson notched 6 goals in 9 games over the festive period – including a goal in the FA Cup third round against Premier League Stoke City.

His final goal in a Rovers shirt came in the 2-1 defeat to Bradford City at Valley Parade in March.

The club would like to thank Nathan for his efforts both on and off the pitch and wish him every success in the future.
