Doncaster Children’s Services Trust is on the lookout for people who could help transform lives of local children by becoming a foster carer.Last year in a borough wide survey, Doncaster’s foster carers were hailed as ‘heroes’. Foster carers provide Doncaster children and young people with much more than just a home. Giving a child warmth, support and affection at a time when they need it the most.
Head of Provider Services for Looked After Children, Sue May said: “We are always looking for more foster carers to join our ranks in ensuring children in Doncaster are safe. We are particularly interested in people who would like the challenge of inspiring our teenage children and those who have the space in their hearts for sibling groups.
“Many people who consider fostering think they may not be eligible to foster but we welcome enquires from a whole cross section of the community including single people, same sex couples and married couples. Pop along to our event on Tuesday 22 March and find out first-hand from our experienced carers the joys of fostering.”
If you have ever thought of fostering and have the time to look after a child and the space to give them a bedroom of their own, we would love to hear from you. In return we offer generous allowances and 24/7 support.
Join us at our fostering information event at The Blue Building, High Street, Doncaster on Tuesday 22 March between 4pm and 6.30pm.
If you can’t wait until our event to get started on your journey, speak to our Fostering Team free on 0808 129 2600 or check our fostering webpages for more information.
