We're All 'Rowe-vers'

Manager Darren Ferguson adds a familiar face to boost his ranks.

Darren Ferguson has added 27 year old Tommy Rowe of Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Rovers squad on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

A highly rated midfielder, Rowe started his football career with Stockport County before joining Peterborough United, then under the stewardship of Ferguson.

Rowe scored 27 goals in 204 appearances at London Road and his successes included the 2011 League One play-offs and the 2014 Football League Trophy before he moved to Molineux.

Rovers manager Ferguson spoke of his delight at acquiring Rowe; “Tommy is a fantastic player and one that I have targeted since my arrival here. It’s great to have finally secured him and I thank Gavin Baldwin and the board for that.

“Tommy is very versatile and can play in a number of positions across the back and in midfield. He has played a lot of games; he won the JPT and promotion with Peterborough and has experience of this league.

“It’s great to have him on the bench today and we wish Tommy all the best in his time here.”

Tommy will wear the number 24 shirt during his stay at Keepmoat Stadium and everyone connected with Doncaster Rovers would like to welcome Tommy to the club.
