Rovers Academy 12's, 13's and 14's to enjoy Easter football in Scotland.
Doncaster Rovers Academy’s set off on their annual trip to Scotland with high expectations of enhancing each player’s development.Three squads of players travel north of the border for a mini break comprising of two games for each age group.
As well as playing games of football against different opposition, the trip gives the youngsters the chance to undertake greater responsibility.
Academy manager Paul Wilson, who was leading the tour, said: “It started six years ago when we decided to take the lads away from here to aid their development.
“That started with taking the Youth Team to Sweden for the Gothia Cup and we’ve worked our way down.
“With this age group we take them to Scotland for a bit over Easter, take them to a hotel just outside Glasgow and play two games and have a day at the theme park before setting off back.
“It’s great for them to take responsibility, get away from the parents and it’s a learning curve at the right age.
“Some of the current U18’s still remember their Scotland trip as they go for three years before the Sweden trips later.”
The itinerary of the youngsters is as follows and we will endeavour to keep you up to date with their progress:
