Rowe Good to Go

Some welcome news regarding suspected injury to goalscoring midfielder.

Rovers have received some welcome good news as Tommy Rowe’s injury is not as bad as first feared.

The midfielder came off at half-time of Saturday’s draw with Wycombe after a heavy knock to a foot, but a scan on Sunday revealed no break.

While he will miss the upcoming Emirates FA Cup trip to Oldham and Checkatrade Trophy clash with Port Vale, he is on course to return the following Saturday for the Sky Bet League Two trip to Exeter City.

Rovers boss Darren Ferguson said: “It was just the swelling from the impact that caused the concern. He has a screw in the foot where he’s been injured before, and it was right on it.

“The X-ray came back with good news because if it had been a break he could have been out for the season. He’ll be fine for Exeter.”
