Keith comes good on the Rovers lottery at the first time of asking.
Loyal Rovers supporter Keith Jebb has taken home our jackpot prize of £2000 in the Rovers Weekly Lottery…at his first attempt!
Keith becomes the second winner in the last month following Steve Errington
, and having become involved through his Sunday League side Woodfield FC, has encouraged others to do likewise.
“My mate set it up the other week through the local football club, we each had a shilling and I got my £2,000 worth, it’s come just at the right time,” he said.
“It’s the first week my mate has set the draw up as an agent, I joined in and fortunately I’ve won first time which is absolutely brilliant.”
So, does Keith know he’s going to spend his windfall which helps the Rovers Academy?
“No, but the wife does. And the son. And the daughter. And half the football team! I might just get a little bit,” he joked.
“Its to be hoped that more young players come through. It’s not been a bad start to the start of the season.”
Lottery Manager Ken Porter was hopeful that other local football clubs could get involved with the Rovers lottery and alliance.
“There’s a great number of players and volunteers who get involved on a Sunday morning in parks across the town.
“For the price of a pint, they’re in with a chance of taking home a four figure sum and helping their local professional club at the same time!”
The Rovers Alliance costs just £2.25 per week and comes packed with numerous benefits, including entry into the weekly lottery draw and entry in to the annual Super Jackpot Draw (with a guaranteed prize of £10,000) and numerous draws for money can’t buy prizes. Other fantastic benefits include 5% discount on season tickets and 10% off all corporate hospitality packages.
