Club Doncaster Foundation organised a fantastic afternoon of Easter fun on Bank Holiday Monday as Doncaster Rovers hosted Blackpool.

Three families enjoyed a day of bike riding, treasure hunting and a stadium tour, before they received a complimentary ticket for the game and their own shirt to attend in.

The event was part of Club Doncaster Foundation’s family themed days ran throughout the year by the Health and Wellbeing team and allowed both parents and children to enjoy the day free of charge.

Health and Wellbeing community officer Nick Gillott was delighted with the afternoon, he said: “The whole day was great for all involved and really showcased the fantastic family ethos Doncaster Rovers has.

“It’s all about creating a memorable experience for the kids and the parents too and making sure they feel very much apart of the Doncaster Rovers family.”

As well as the fantastic experience, each parent and child also received complimentary lunch after their bike ride around the beautiful scenery of lakeside.

Mum Laura Gray said: “It was great to spend time with the kids and let them enjoy something they’d never normally do, it really was a fantastic day.

“We went on a bike ride and a treasure hunt and the kids absolutely loved it, it was even better that they got their own shirt to go to the game in, they couldn’t believe it and neither could I, that it was all completely free.

“It just shows how brilliant the club are at engaging with families and what a fantastic job the Club Doncaster Foundation are doing.”
