Dedicated Rovers fan Paul Mayfield has been a supporter since 1971, ‘Mr Doncaster Rovers’ as he is known to many around the town is a regular feature at all home and away games.
Paul recently won the Sky Bet League Two Supporter of the Year, and is also nominated for Supporter of the Year at the EFL awards which will take place on April 9.
Paul’s dedication to the club is endless. He is the Secretary of the Retford supporters branch which takes Rovers fans to every away game across the season, he also organises an annual weekend trip for a chosen away game as well as taking his place on the supporters board.
“In my time, I am probably clocking on for 3/4 of a million miles, maybe even getting onto a million miles watching Rovers,” he said.
“There are so many Rovers fans out there present and past who are exactly the same, all for this beloved club of ours.
“Everybody at Doncaster Rovers gets on with each other so well and I feel the bond at the club is getting better and better.”
