Club Doncaster have appointed Shaun Lockwood as head of marketing & communications to help drive the organisation’s fan engagement and support revenue growth.
Shaun brings a wealth of experience to the role, including a six-year spell at the club which included a stint as communications manager.
He said: “I'm pleased to have had the opportunity to return to Doncaster and I'm looking forward to starting my new role. I've been in regular contact with both colleagues and fans since leaving and heard nothing but positives about the direction the club is going in. I'm excited about being part of the Doncaster Rovers family once again.”
Shaun left Club Doncaster in 2014 to spend more time with his young family, and Club Doncaster’s chief executive Gavin Baldwin is pleased to have him back.
He said: “Shaun helped steer some major projects during his previous spell that helped Doncaster Rovers and the Dons be seen as best practice with their approach to fan engagement, family excellence and player visits to schools.
“We have continued to build on that through In Rovers We Trust since Shaun left, but I’m sure his return will help us drive that even further.”
