Mason wants momentum

9 August 2017

Defensive midfielder Niall Mason wants the team to take a winning momentum into Saturday’s game against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Rovers scored an 88th minute winner to hand them a 3-2 win  against Bradford City at the Northern Commercials Stadium, to take them into the second round of the Carabao Cup and Mason was impressed with his team-mates quality on the night.

“It’s good for momentum and after the game on Saturday we knew we would be going into a hard game against Bradford, so the win takes us on nicely to the game against Blackburn on Saturday,” he said.

“Bradford haven’t been beaten at home for a long time, so we can take massive confidence from that.”

“With Ben’s goal we’ve seen him finish like that a 100 times in training, so we are really happy with how the night went and some of the gaffer’s new signings got on the scoresheet as well.”
