Five reasons why you should be at Rovers v Scunthorpe

2 December 2017

Here are just five reasons why you should be attending the game this Sunday.

LOCAL RIVALRY

Just 27 miles separates the two clubs. There is also great history in which the clubs have played each other over 60 times. Rovers have come on top five times more, though, and will be looking to extend their wins against the Iron this Sunday.

The last time the two met was around a month ago in the Checkatrade Trophy, where both teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw in normal time, with Rovers winning the penalty shootout (3-2).

GREAT ATMOSPHERE

The average attendance of the previous five games at the Keepmoat between the two clubs has been 7,424.

This means we are in for a loud and fierce game where supporters will be cheering on the players for the full 90 minutes.

EXPECT GOALS

Rovers forward John Marquis has scored seven this season (all competitions) and has scored two in his past five games.

Scunthorpe midfielder Josh Morris has scored eight times this season (all competitions) and has scored four in his past five games.

In the past five games the two teams have played each other, there has been a total of 13 goals scored, so it will hopefully be a really entertaining match.

GOOD VALUE

Adults can watch the game for just £15, Senior’s (60+) & Young Adult’s (18-21) can also come for £10 and 17’s and Under for only £5.

WRITE YOUR LETTER TO SANTA

All junior Rovers fans will be able to post their Christmas letter to Santa in the Donny Dog kennel, pre-match. All letters will be hand delivered by our very own Santa Paws Donny Dog to the real Santa Claus in the North Pole.
