Blair wants run to go on

14 February 2017

Matty Blair says the Rovers players are determined to keep their unbeaten run going.

Rovers have not lost in their past 10 Sky Bet League Two outings, though they face a stern test on Tuesday when they travel to Carlisle United.

Blair said: “We are a good side, we’ve added that consistency, feel we can beat anybody and don’t fear anyone. The little things have come together, which is the main reason why we are showing consistency.

“We are determined to keep it going, winning breeds winning and confidence breeds confidence. We just want that winning feeling every Saturday or Tuesday night.

“There’s been a few times we have gone behind and, looking at the boys, I can see we are never out. If we go behind we go again and always seem to get back in the game. That shows good character and belief within ourselves.”

Rovers sit 14 points clear of fourth-placed Luton Town, but Blair repeats the mantra of staff and players that no one is paying too much attention to the table.

He said: “I don’t look at it, personally, I just look at the next game which is Carlisle. The big picture will take care of itself, so long as you look after the little things which would get you there.

“Carlisle is a very big game and we’re going there full of confidence. They’re a very good and consistent side, they have two or three different options with systems and it’ll be a good old battle.”
