Fans at Saturday’s game can try a new handmade burger as part of feedback from our In Rovers We Trust survey.
Supporters Board members and other fans attended a tasting session at the Keepmoat Stadium recently, trying a variety of options provided by our catering partners Centerplate.
They were most impressed by a burger which features a handmade beef patty, without salad in a brioche bun. This will be available from the concourse kiosks with or without onions.
Supporter Hans Gacpar, who helped pick out the burger, said: “We tasted a few options and considered everything from the presentation to the condiments this is served with. In the end we prioritised taste over the aesthetics that come from some of the bought in products opting for the handmade patty which will be prepared by the chefs at the stadium.
"All credit to Centerplate and their development chefs as they certainly gave us a number of options to choose from including the meat, the bun and the serving salad. Hopefully the rest of the fans are pleased with our decision but I’d really encourage people to give it a go and let the club know what they think.”
Fans will also see additional shelving throughout the concourses, making it easier for those who have a drink or programme to hold at the same time. Again, this is based on a recommendation from the Supporters Board.
Centerplate’s Dean Stones said: “It has been a pleasure working with the supporters on this project and we thrilled to be rolling it out on the concourse for our next fixture.
“We are confident that the new burger will be well received by supporters and look forward to working with the group on future decisions regards refreshments at the Keepmoat Stadium.”
