Rovers manager Darren Ferguson was impressed with how clinical his side were against Yeovil Town.
Two goals from John Marquis and one from defender Mathieu Baudry wrapped up all three points at Huish Park, extending Rovers’ lead at the top of Sky Bet League Two to seven points.
Ferguson’s side have won every game during January, disposing of Barnet, Crewe Alexandra, Portsmouth and Stevenage.
“We were clinical in the way we went about our business,” said Ferguson.
“It never gets boring winning games, in four games on the bounce now we have scored three goals and we could have had more.
“We have to enjoy these results and five wins out of five in January is brilliant.”
Marquis stretched his goalscoring tally to 17 in Sky Bet League Two, only two behind Grimsby Town’s Omar Bogle and Barnet’s John Akinde.
And Ferguson is delighted with the impact the former Millwall man has had on Rovers this season.
“He’s only 24 and I think people forget that, he’s been an outstanding signing for us,” he added.
“Marquis has got 17 goals now and we have 18 games to go, him and Williams have a great partnership up top.
“His goals have been brilliant for us but the way he goes about his job is fantastic.”
