Rovers manager Darren Ferguson is expecting a technical game against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday evening.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side are the second Sky Bet Championship side to visit the Keepmoat during Rovers’ 2017/18 pre-season schedule after Derby County and Ferguson is expecting a lively atmosphere.
“I personally feel like the games against the teams like Sheffield Wednesday and Derby suit us better, as you get more time on the ball and it’s a technical game,” he said.
“They are a very good team and they have added to their squad, so the next two games will be a real test for us in a few different way, we will have to be defensively sound against Wednesday.
“I am looking forward to Wednesday as they will bring a lot of fans and it will be a good atmosphere inside the ground.”
