Rovers players returned to training on Monday ahead of the 2017/18 Sky Bet League One campaign.
The squad, bolstered by new signings Niall Mason, Ben Whitman and Danny Andrew, were put through their paces by fitness coach Ben Rome and assistant Gavin Strachan.
Rome said: “All the players have had an off-season plan, specific for each player, and because we’re happy with the work the lads have done we can get the balls out straight away and do more functional work.
“The focus for the next few weeks is endurance stuff and injury prevention, so we will do a lot of work on the gym, on the pitch and on the running track to give them a good aerobic base for the season ahead.”
Rovers kick-off their Sky Bet League One campaign at home to Gillingham on Saturday August 5.
