Marko Marosi believes he can continue to improve from working with Paul Gerrard, after signing a two-year contract extension.
The former Slovakian youth international made the goalkeeper spot his own in the first half of the season before injury took him out of the first-team picture, but the chance to continue working with goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard was a big motivation for him to sign on for a further two seasons at the Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: “The coaching staff have really improved me, especially Paul Gerrard and the gaffer.
“I keep improving all the time. I’ve matured a bit as well and can only keep improving, with the gaffer, Gavin Strachan and Paul Gerrard I can improve all the time.”
Marko has seen the club advance since he joined in the summer of 2014, and feels there is real potential to develop further.
He added: “The stadium is beautiful, certainly not a League Two stadium and I believe we’re bigger than a League One club as well.
“The training ground is nice and big and there are plans for Club Doncaster as well, there is so much potential in this club. I’m delighted to have signed because I really wanted to stay here, I love this club.”
