The Horse Bit Shop will be holding a charity ball at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday December 2 in aid of the mental health charity Mind, and are calling on Rovers supporters to get behind the event.
Ema Odlin-Baxter, from the Horse Bit Shop, said they were keen to utilise their association with the club to pursue some of their objectives.
She said: “Mind is a charity very close to my heart. One in four people suffer from mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, with most keeping it to themselves and feeling embarrassed about the illness they suffer. Following the loss of one of our very talented young clients, we decided we wanted to raise the awareness of such a well-deserving charity Mind, in memory of our good friend Tom Searle.
“When we signed up as an Official Silver Partner with Club Doncaster, there were a range of aims that we wanted to pursue, with our charitable interests being one part of that.”
“The Black Tie Charity Ball at the start of December will be a really enjoyable event that includes live music from Sheffield based band The Leathernecks. Being used as a great night out for friends and families as well as Christmas parties for companies of all sizes, it is a great opportunity to raise a lot of money for a wonderful charity.”
The Horse Bit Shop is the global leader as horse bitting specialists, comprehensive bit bank service and lecturers in lorinery to the equestrian industry.
Jon Warburton, commercial manager at Club Doncaster, said the organisation was looking forward to promoting the Horse Bit Shop to a wider and different audience.
He said: “We pride ourselves at Club Doncaster on being an organisation that has something for everyone when it comes to commercial partnerships.
“Over the term of the Horse Bit Shop’s partnership with us we will look to expose their business as prominently as we can through the varied means included within our Official Partnership.
“We are now up to almost 50 commercial partners since the programme launched in July and are looking forward to adding more over the coming months.”
Tickets are available for the Charity Ball costing £55 pp or £500 for a table of 10, and will include a three course meal and live music.
