Fans flock to open day

3 November 2017

Around 200 fans packed into the Club Doncaster Foundation Family Stand in the Keepmoat Stadium on Thursday for Rovers’ family fun day.

It was a highlight of a week of activities to keep young supporters entertained during the half-term weekend.

The entire first-team squad were present to join in the fun, joining supporters on stadium tours, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Fans were also able to play against Doncaster’s professional snooker player Chris Keogan, use the latest Playstation virtual reality technology thanks to GAME Doncaster, take on a range of challenges from the Club Doncaster Foundation, enjoy a petting zoo, hold scary birds of prey and have a go on a bouncy castle.

Club Doncaster marketing manager Mark Hughesman said: “It was fantastic to see so many young fans with big grins on their faces throughout the afternoon, whether they were taking on a Rovers player on Fifa 18 or having their picture taken on the shoulders of someone they all looked to have a great time.

“I’d like to thank everyone who came down, whether supporter, player or volunteer, for contributing to what we put on and what we do every matchday in the Family Stand.”
