Defender Mathieu Baudry declared himself fit and raring to go after coming through his comeback for Rovers’ Development side.
The French defender played an hour of Tuesday’s 4-0 Central League Cup win at Walsall, playing in the centre of a back-three in-between Craig Alcock and Tyler Garratt.
He said: “Getting back out there has been a long time coming, but everything feels good afterwards.
“The gaffer has asked me to show in training that I am ready, well I feel ready now when called upon.
Baudry required a second operation on a foot injury this summer, and has cut a frustrated figure watching from the sidelines having not featured since.
He added: “It has been really frustrating and testing mentally. The gaffer has been laughing because I have been knocking on his door to come back earlier, I know I had to be careful but I have worked hard and am ready to go.
“It has been a frustrating start to the season because I want to help the team, but I have worked hard and feel fit.”
