Club captain Andy Butler was in attendance at the 2017 Doncaster Free Press Superkids Awards to present a signed Doncaster Rovers shirt to Liam Morrison.
Liam who has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia won the award for ‘Fearless Bravery’ at the ceremony and was surprised with the signed shirt on stage from one of his Rovers heroes.
Butler said: “I was delighted to present Liam with the signed shirt on the night, for me his smile made the night and I hope that he enjoys the present.
“He told me he is a season membership holder in the Black Bank and I have told him that I will come and visit him after one of the home games to say hello.
“Liam is no doubt a worthy winner of the ‘Fearless Bravery’ award, as his will and determination to overcome his illness is plain for everyone to see, he has the support of the whole football club and we wish him all the best.”
