Club Doncaster has extended its partnership with local snooker professional Chris Keogan into a second season.
Keogan, who will compete in the English Open at the Barnsley Metrodome from October 16, joined the Club Doncaster stable as he turned professional in 2016 and is excited about the possibilities now he is an established face on the circuit.
He said: “I’m very proud to be part of Club Doncaster, representing my hometown as I compete in tournaments. They are more than just a logo on my shirt, though, with support and guidance between events.
“My first year on the tour was a real learning curve, but now I feel settled and am already feeling like I am competing better.”
Gavin Baldwin, chief executive of Club Doncaster, said: “I’ve enjoyed following Chris’ progress over his first year on the tour, and I am sure he will go from strength to strength.
“Our growing partnership with Chris shows our commitment to sport in the area, and everyone at the organisation wishes Chris all the best for the rest of the season - starting with the English Open next time out.”
Chris will be Donny Dog’s Kennel in the Club Doncaster Foundation Family Stand prior to Saturday’s Sky Bet League One game between Doncaster Rovers and Southend United to teach snooker skills to young fans attending the game.
