Toffolo enjoying life at Rovers

16 September 2017

Harry Toffolo is enjoying being back up north after arriving at the Keepmoat Stadium on loan from Norwich City on deadline day.

The left-back spent last season with Scunthorpe United, but says he is in no doubt about where his loyalties lie ahead of the game against Graham Alexander’s side this weekend.

“It’s good to be back up north, I had a successful year at Scunthorpe and I’m looking to have a repeat of that here at Doncaster,” he said.

“My family have moved up here so it’s a swift move for me, the transition has been good as I lived in Doncaster while I was on loan at Scunthorpe last season.

“The manager has quite rightly made a big deal out of the derby game, all the boys are up for it as we want to give our fans the bragging rights.”

After a number of loan spells with clubs in the EFL, Toffolo feels that he needs to be playing regular football in order to keep improving as a player.

“I’m 22-years-old now and I want to be playing regular football at a club that I can call home, I need to be switched on throughout training to make sure I keep my place in the team,” he added.

“It’s good to be back up here and once I got the phone call from my agent saying that Doncaster were interested, I wanted to get it done and start working with the manager.

“We’ve got a good stadium with brilliant training facilities, we’re a club looking to go in the right direction and it’s a club that I want to be a part of.”

Tickets for Sunday's game against Scunthorpe are available from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
