Darren Ferguson says his side will head into Monday’s game against AFC Wimbledon full of confidence after recent results in Sky Bet League One.
Rovers have won their last two league games against Bradford City and Blackpool respectively, and Ferguson wants his side to keep up the standard they have set themselves in those games.
“The good thing for us is, that we go into the game on Monday with a lot of confidence, and we just have to make sure that we keep our standards up and getting the mentality right,” he said.
“Wimbledon have a lot of experienced players in the middle of the park, we put in a very strange performance against them down at their place and there was no energy from us in that game.
“Lyle Taylor is one of the better strikers in the league, a real handful, Harry Forrester is a good player and we all know about him, and they have good width in their side.”
Rovers have a busy April schedule before ending the season at home against Wigan Athletic, and Ferguson says he wants to finish as high as possible in the Sky Bet League One table.
“We have got four games at home during the month of April, and then one in May, we want to finish the season as strongly as possible and I can’t see why we can’t do that,” he added.
“There’s no point in me saying that I want to reach as specific target at the end of the season because I want to get as many points as possible, we try and compete in every game that we play.
“I want us to finish as high up the table as we can, the one thing we have not done that much this season is get back-to-back wins, but there are still plenty of points to play for.”
