Darren Ferguson says he is looking for more goals from his team as they head into the final two games of the Sky Bet League One season.
John Marquis is Rovers' top scorer this season with 15 goals in all competitions, and the manager wants more goalscoring threats in the side going into next season.
"We haven't had quite enough quality in the final third, we didn't have a shot on target at Oldham and that can't happen so we have to find a way of creating more chances," he said.
"We've only got one player in double figures for goals, so that is an area that if we can we would like to keep improving and look for more goals from the players we have here at the moment.
"Sometimes it can be improving the support for the strikers, the final cross or the final pass is just as important and that is where we have fallen short in certain games."
Rovers go up against AFC Wimbledon at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night, and Ferguson is expecting a tough game against the side they were beaten 2-0 by earlier on this season.
"I like them, I think they're a good team and are full of energy. They played really well against Wigan and managed to pick up a good point which they thoroughly deserved," he added.
"They've got good experience and they still need something to make sure they're safe but I think they'll be fine anyway, it will be a really tough game for us.
"It was a strange game at their place, it was boiling hot and we were poor on the day, they scored their two goals and saw the game out comfortably in the game."
