Marko Marosi believes he has matured a lot as he reflects on his fourth season with the club.
The former Slovakian under-21 international signed from Wigan Athletic in 2014, and says that he has learned a lot during his time in South Yorkshire.
“I’ve matured a lot while I’ve been here, and I’ve grown in confidence, I’ve developed a lot as a goalkeeper, but there are always things I can improve on and I'll be working hard to make sure that I do so,” he said.
“I just have to focus and keep improving and working hard in training and see where it takes me, I take things a game at a time but hopefully I can carry this good form into next season as well.
“We do work a lot of work on different scenarios down at training between myself, Ian Lawlor and Paul Gerrard, as well as the defence, but I think how I have been playing just comes with the confidence I have at the moment coming into the side and doing well.”
Rovers travel to Stadium MK to face Milton Keynes at the weekend, and he feels that the great relationships around the squad are something that really helps the side to perform well.
“We have a great relationship with all the defenders and the team as a whole is such a good group of lads, not many teams have that and that gives us an advantage,” Marosi added.
“We just take it one game at a time and we want to get the results, we’ve got a big game on Saturday, Milton Keynes might be around the bottom four but they’re a good team, they’re in a position they don’t want to be, they’ll come out flying but we’ll be ready.
“A win on Saturday can take us 11 points clear of Milton Keynes, we are playing well, and we are working hard throughout the team, so we have to maintain that and get further up the table.”
