Rovers have unveiled a new badge, inspired by supporters, which will be introduced in time for the 2018/19 season.
The design incorporates the famous gnome which is a regular at Rovers games courtesy of fan Paul Mayfield, who last season was named EFL Supporter of the Year.
It also incorporates the “more than just a football club” slogan which has featured prominently in the 18/19 Season Membership promotional campaign.
Paul said: “This is a great gesture from the club, the gnome is at every game - home and away - with players, staff and supporters all posing for photos with it.
“It is really fitting that the gnome will be on the shirts, but I hope the players don’t think we’ll stop asking for photos - I’ll need a whole new set with the new badge!”
Club Doncaster group head of communications and marketing Shaun Lockwood said the move was a tribute to supporters.
He said: “We recognise what an important role Paul and the gnome play in the fanbase and hope that by incorporating the ‘more than just a football club’ logo on the badge we display our credentials as one of the most fan-focused clubs around.
“We have timed this announcement carefully and I hope fans realise this is not just a gimmick to sell more Season Memberships. They are on sale now, by the way, and can be bought from the Box Office or by going to tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.”
Everyone who purchases a Season Membership prior to the end of the initial purchase period on April 13 will be included in a daily prize draw, with many money can’t buy prizes available.
