Several young Rovers fans were given a real treat with an exclusive first look at the 18/19 kit design, as well as a chance to wear the new shirts at the Keepmoat Stadium for the first time.
Fourteen youngsters were invited down to the home of Rovers for a sneak-peak look at the shirts, thinking they were going to pose for some photos.
Instead, after being taken through into the first-team changing room they were told they were going to be able to have a kickabout on the pitch.
As a further surprise, once they were changed they were surprised by a special pre-match teamtalk from Rovers boss Darren Ferguson.
And, after getting advice from the boss they walked down the tunnel as if it was a normal match… where they were given another surprise as 11 members of the first-team squad were waiting to join in their match.
After playing on the Keepmoat Stadium turf - although there were plenty of goals, no one is quite sure who won, they got to take penalties against goalkeepers Marko Marosi and Louis Jones before taking the promotional pictures they thought were the only reason they were at the ground.
