Manager Grant McCann is looking forward to his first competitive home league game in charge of Rovers this weekend.
Sky Bet League One new boys Wycombe Wanderers arrive at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday for McCann's home debut, and he wants to provide a brand of football to entertain the Rovers faithful.
"We have to make sure we make our advantage count - it's a great ground to play at and it's a lovely pitch to play on too, everyone says it, but we want the Keepmoat Stadium to become a fortress in League One," he said
"We just have to make sure our fans get behind us, which I'm sure they will do, it's my first home league game in charge here and I want to make sure we create a good atmosphere for them.
"Your home form is key, if you want to have a good season, a promotion season, then you have to pick up as many points as you can at home, we know we won't win every game at home, but we want to make this a very tough place to come."
Last Saturday saw McCann get off to a winning start with a 3-2 victory at Southend United, and the manager says confidence is high as he searched for a second success in as many games.
"It's a nice place to be at the minute, the boys are all looking forward to the game and I'm quite pleased with the squad - we're in a great position with some good numbers," he added.
"I'm really pleased with the group and feel we're very strong, you only have to look at the ones who didn't even travel with us to Southend last weekend to see that."
