Striker Alfie May says scoring his first goal of the 2018/19 season will provide him with a huge confidence boost.

May struck in Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Blackpool in the second round of the Carabao Cup, and the former Hythe Town man hopes he has given manager Grant McCann some food for thought ahead of the weekend’s trip to Peterborough United.
