Marko Marosi has made the most of a regular run in the Rovers side with a string of impressive performances.
The Slovakian keeper has played in every league outing so far, and has been pleased with the start made both personally and as a team.
He said: "On a personal level I'm happy to be playing regularly and doing well for the team, we just need to keep working hard every day and keep improving
"I try and help the team as much as I can, the defenders in front of me have been brilliant and we try and work for each other.
"Clean sheets are massively important as they spread the confidence around the team, our defence has been solid and I haven't been too busy for the most part."
Marosi has had a settled back four in front of him for the most part, with Joe Wright and Andy Butler acting as a solid last line of defence.
He added: "Whoever plays in defence it's always the same level of performance, we train together every day and we're all ready as we saw with Tom Anderson when he came on against Shrewsbury.
"Everybody knows what is expected of them and how they have to play within our system, we have played out from the back more with the new manager.
"We've got defenders who are capable of stopping counter attacks, the whole team trusts the centre backs to deal with the one-on-ones they face."
