Manager Grant McCann is looking for his side to maintain the momentum from their opening two games when they head to local rivals Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night.
A 3-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday followed a 3-2 success at Southend United on the opening day - and McCann wants the good run to continue at Glanford Park.
He said: “I’ll look to play as strong a team as possible, it’s a derby game against one of our big rivals, and whatever team I put out there they have to be ready.
“The team as a whole performed to a high level against Wycombe: it wasn’t just about the ones that scored, we moved the ball well, we created chances, we got our full backs high again and the rotation of the midfield three was hard for them to deal with.
“We’re all about us, I think if you start worrying about other things then you drive yourself mad.”
With plenty of support from the home fans on Saturday, McCann felt the good performance was a continuation of the second-half display which blew Southend away the previous weekend.
“It was a follow on from last weekend’s second half performance I think, I felt that we were dominant throughout the game and we moved the ball really well across the pitch - we had to be clever because we knew they’d set up quite deep, but we worked really well,” he added,
“We controlled the game throughout, we couldn’t get our shots off in the first half but we did everything right in the second half. We were under no illusions about how tough a game Wycombe were going to give us, before this match they’d not lost on the road since December.”
Rovers return to home action on Tuesday August 21, with Shrewsbury Town making the trip to the Keepmoat Stadium in Sky Bet League One.
