Sky Bet League One returns on Saturday after a dramatic first weekend and Sporting Life’s Tom Carnduff previews the action, alongside a price-boosted accumulator from EFL title sponsors Sky Bet.

This division, as ever, did not disappoint on opening day – with plenty of goals, action and drama on display.

It all started at Sunderland – as they snatched victory in the dying minutes against Charlton, who went ahead thanks to Lyle Taylor's penalty just eight minutes in.

Jack Ross' Black Cats will look to make it six points from six this weekend, but it won't be easy as they travel to face Luton who were narrowly defeated by Portsmouth.

Charlton  host last season's beaten play-off finalists Shrewsbury, with both sides aiming for their first points of the campaign.

Joey Barton's start to life in management saw a 1-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon, although Fleetwood will look for their first win of the season when they travel to take on Oxford.

Oxford were beaten 4-0 by Barnsley last time out – with Daniel Stendel's new style of football paying off already for the Tykes. They top the table at this very early point.

Barnsley come up against Bradford this weekend in all-Yorkshire affair, and a new-look Bradford City were backed by a strong away following as they beat Shrewsbury in Shropshire.

The Bantams opted to give Michael Collins his first role in senior management following Simon Grayson's departure, and Collins will look to build on the positive atmosphere surrounding their summer recruitment to push on up the table this season.

Wimbledon will want to make it two wins from two as they take on a Coventry side who were narrowly-beaten by Scunthorpe last time out – and the Dons can take confidence in the fact that they've only lost one of their previous eight encounters with the Iron.

Blackpool may have lost manager Gary Bowyer in midweek – but caretaker boss Terry McPhillips will be looking to bring his group together as they welcome Portsmouth to Bloomfield Road.

Kenny Jackett's Pompey kicked things off with three points, and find themselves at 7/5 with Sky Bet for victory here.

Accrington started life in the third tier of English football for the first-time and, even though it ended in defeat, they can take confidence in the momentum they carry having won Sky Bet League Two last season.

Stanley travel to face Bristol Rovers, who were defeated by Peterborough last time out. Despite the loss, Rovers are favourites for victory here.

Steve Evans' Posh travel to take on Rochdale, who are fancied for a potential top-six charge despite narrowly avoiding relegation last season.

This game is set to be an entertaining one – with both teams possessing quality in attack.

Doncaste were on the right side of a five-goal thriller as they beat Southend 3-2, credit to Chris Powell's men though who battled back from 2-0 down. Rovers face Wycombe this weekend.

Southend meanwhile, travel to take on Plymouth – with both aiming for that first win of the 2018/19 campaign.

Sporting Life has teamed up with Sky Bet to bring readers an exclusive price boosted accumulator from this weekend's EFL action. You can back Ipswich, Portsmouth and Notts County all to win enhanced to 20/1 with Sky Bet by heading here.
