Grounds manager Peter Needham says it has been a successful off-season for the ground staff at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The pitch was completely stripped by sports ground contractors Botham Prestige and was re-stitched by SIS Pitches, and Pete says he has enjoyed his first full-pre season at the club.
“It has been good to put my own stamp on things, I came into this job a few weeks before the end of last season, and it was a frustrating start for me as my first game got called off," he said.
“We have made a lot of changes through the renovations to make sure that the surface is in the best condition it can be, it will improve a lot of things and we are all looking forward to it.
“A lot of hard work has gone into getting the pitch up to a standard that I am happy with. We had a few long nights and some early mornings, but I am proud of what we have achieved."
