U18s striker Jack Watson is hoping that his opening day goal against Oldham is one of many more to come in a Rovers shirt.
Watson opened scoring within 10 minutes against Oldham, setting Rovers on their way to earn a comfortable 3-1 victory.
He said: "It was a good performance for the lads individually and as a whole, and I was extra pleased to get my first goal - hopefully I can get more throughout the season and we can get onto a winning streak.
"The players around me link together well so I think that individual movement has been very good going forward, and in defending we worked well.
"It's been a tough first year with pre-season, I've worked hard, but I have enjoyed it since the start and I am looking forward to playing more. "
