Manager Grant McCann says Rochdale will provide a tough test for his side when the two teams meet at the Keepmoat Stadium in Sky Bet League One.

Rovers are in confident mood after Saturday's 3-1 win at Gillingham, and McCann has no intention of taking Dale for granted after their 4-0 home loss to Bradford City on the same day.

"I've always had good tests against Keith Hill's sides over the years as both a player and a manager, they're always quite wide open, we were maybe fortunate to get the win back at Spotland earlier in the season, but we were ruthless.

"Prior to the weekend, Rochdale had been on a decent run of late, it just goes to show that you can't afford to take any game for granted at this level, they're a very dangerous side."

McCann expects an entertaining game at the Keepmoat Stadium against an outfit with plenty of talent going forward.

"They have some very good players across their midfield in Oliver Rathbone and Callum Camps if he's fit, and they've got Ian Henderson up top who can score a lot of goals," he added.

"Keith always has his teams playing the right way, they'll make it tough for us, but it'll be a great football game."
