Boyle targets game time

6 February 2018

Andy Boyle is aiming for a lengthy run in the side following his debut against Portsmouth on Saturday.

Boyle, who signed on loan until the end of the season from Preston North End on Tuesday, played a full 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw at Fratton Park, and he hopes he can be consistent with his future performances.

“It’s been a whirlwind few days, but this was a great place to make my debut, I’m now looking forward to getting more games under my belt and helping us push up the table,” Boyle said.

“The new manager came in and I haven’t played as much as I’d have liked, my time with Dundalk was such a high and then going on to make my debut for Ireland after that, so I hope my time here can go on to be successful too.

“I want to play as many games as possible. It can be frustrating going from such great highs to lows, but that’s just how it is as a footballer.”

Tickets for Rovers’ home game with Charlton Athletic on Saturday February 10 are still available. They can be purchased via the Club Doncaster Box Office, either by visiting in-store, calling on 01302 762576, or online at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
